This Ofogoli type headdress is extremely rare and only danced during the funerals of village high ranking Elders and then returned back to the shrine.  The carver is strongly believed to be Omale Idakwo who resides in Ugwolawo village in Igalaland.  This cultural icon has been vetted and is an original used piece of cultural art.  The provenance for this piece is documented and copies of original import documentation will be provided to the collector.
